Citrus – latifolia, el lim\u00f3n persa, tambi\u00e9n conocida como lima de Tahit\u00ed, lima persa, lim\u00f3n mesina, lim\u00f3n sin semilla o lima Bearss. El fruto tiene unos 6 cm de di\u00e1metro, a menudo con extremos ligeramente puntiagudos, normalmente se vende con color verde, aunque cuando alcanza la madurez total es amarillo. <\/strong><\/h6>\n
Es mayor, con una piel m\u00e1s gruesa y menos arom\u00e1tica que la lima \u00e1cida, que es la lima m\u00e1s cultivada en todo el mundo. Las ventajas de esta lima respecto a la \u00e1cida es que es de mayor tama\u00f1o, no tiene semillas, mayor resistencia a enfermedades, ausencia de espinas en los \u00e1rboles, y mayor duraci\u00f3n de la fruta una vez recolectada.<\/strong><\/h6>\n
